Frequently Asked Questions

What is the mission and purpose of Compassion for Others (CFO Ministries)?

Our mission is to help improve the quality of life for those disadvantaged and having need.  The purpose of this ministry is founded upon Biblical Scripture in Matthew 22:37-40.  In this passage of Scripture we are all instructed, to love the Lord first, and then to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.  Our lives should reflect the love of Christ who lives in the hearts of every believer.

Is Compassion for Others (CFO Ministries) a church organization?

The members of our Board, the Director and those volunteering to serve with Compassion for Others attend various churches and places of worship in their communities.  We each believe in the importance of CFO's mission and purpose.  Gifts received by this ministry provide funding for various projects and are tax-deductible as permitted by law.  CFO Ministries is registered with the IRS and is a 501(c)3 nonprofit.  More financial information about CFO Ministries and a copy of our license/authority to operate is available from the North Carolina Secretary of State Office.

North Carolina Flood Relief

Donations received by CFO Ministries for NC Flood Relief will provide support and assistance to families recovering from the aftereffects of storm damage.  Some families have experienced tremendous loss.  CFO Ministries will travel to various areas to help provide relief.  We will prayerfully consider how to best serve those affected.  We recognize that needs will exist for a long period of time. Some of those affected live in areas difficult to access.  When considering a gift to help may we recommend monetary gifts. These will be most helpful to CFO Ministries as we review needs and prayerfully consider how to best serve. Your gift may then be used to provide for food, clothing, daily essential needs or help with repairs of damage.  Donations are tax-deductible, and 100% of your gift will be used to help with flood relief needs. You may mail your donation or use the link that will direct you to PayPal.
