About Us

Our Mission and Purpose

Matthew 22:37-40 teaches us to:

"Love the Lord with all of our heart, with all of our soul and all of our mind" and we are also to "love our neighbor as ourselves ..."

The mission and purpose of Compassion for Others is to first love Him and then to love others.  We do this by following His Word, and then through the ways we show kindness, love and respect to others.  We display servant hearts, as we seek to make a difference, and especially those who are in need. We always give Christ the honor and glory for every opportunity to serve Him through Compassion for Others.

About CFO Ministries

Compassion for Others is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that began in 2010.  We are a human services organization, and we are also faith-based.  Everyone who serves with CFO Ministries, does so on a voluntary basis.  With servant hearts our objectives are to demonstrate love, care and compassion to others through our acts of kindness.  We enjoy this privilege to serve in many ways.  We have served children living in group home settings, and seniors living in residential care settings.  We have served in homeless areas; provided essential needs within low-income neighborhoods and to families who experienced financial difficulties.  In 2019, CFO was honored to work in coordination with the county government in Lumberton, NC to provide needs for families impacted by Hurricane Matthew.

During the summer of 2019, CFO Ministries had the opportunity to participate and serve the needs with a mission team from a local church in Charlotte, NC.  We served the needs of families and those hurting in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

In March, 2022 upon the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and war began, CFO Ministries started an international arm of our ministry to help Ukrainian refugees displaced from homes. It is called: Compassion4Ukraine and today serves to help the orphans and the widows of fallen soldiers. This help is provided through our boots-on-the-ground ministry partner in the western mountains of Ukraine.  Please join with CFO Ministries by praying for Ukraine and an end to this war.  We request and encourage your support to help us reach out and help. One hundred percent (100%) of your donation will be directed to help with the humanitarian needs through our vetted partner.  You will find additional information at:  www.cfomin.org/compassion4ukraine

Thank you for praying and your support of the various ways this ministry serves.  God has blessed this ministry. We know He will continue to bless the work that is done for Him.  If you have questions regarding any part or work of this ministry, please contact us.  Please share the work of CFO Ministries.  Our FAQ/Activities page and the link to view Pictures will provide you additional information on a number of ways we are serving.

Thank you.
