About Us

Our Mission and Purpose

Matthew 22:37-40 teaches us to "Love the Lord with all of our heart, with all of our soul and all of our mind" and we are also to "love our neighbor as ourselves ..."

The mission and purpose of Compassion for Others is to follow the Lord's commands through the life we live for Him and the service to others, especially for those with needs.  The hope of CFO Ministries is that we will make a difference in the lives of those we serve.  We will always give Christ the honor and glory for each opportunity to serve Him through ministry.

About CFO Ministries

Compassion for Others is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that began in 2010.  We are a human services organization and we are also faith-based.  Everyone working with CFO Ministries serves on a voluntary basis with the ministry.  With servant hearts our objective is to demonstrate love, care and compassion to others through acts of kindness.  We have enjoyed the privilege to serve in various ways.  CFO Ministries has served children living in group homes and seniors living in the residential care setting.  We have served in the homeless community, provided essential needs to within low-income neighborhoods and for families experiencing financial hardship.  In 2019, we were honored to work in coordination with the county government of Lumberton, NC and to voluntarily provide needs to families affected by Hurricane Matthew.  Each time we have the privilege to serve our objective is to show our love and concern for others and to allow our love for the Lord to shine through servant hearts.

During the summer of 2019, our organization had the privilege to volunteer with a local community church and to serve in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

After the invasion of Ukraine and the war began in March, of 2022, CFO Ministries began an international arm of this ministry to help Ukrainian refugees who are displaced from their homes, the orphans and the widows of fallen soldiers.  This is called "Compassion4Ukraine" and our ministry serves Ukraine thru vetted boots-on-the-ground ministry partners in Ukraine, Poland and Romania.  Foremost, please pray for Ukraine and an end to the terrible war.  We also seek your financial help with us.  Donation gifts (100%) that are "specified Ukraine" will be directed and help those in/from Ukraine.  You may also visit the following webpage link and learn more about our efforts to be a ministry partner for Ukraine. www.cfomin.org/compassion4ukraine

All of our ministry work is volunteer and fully dependent upon the financial resources from friends like you.

God has blessed CFO Ministries.  We know that He will continue to bless all work that is done for Him.  Thank you for every prayer and the support you give to CFO Ministries.  As always, if you have any questions about this ministry, please contact us.  Please share our ministry efforts with others.  The FAQ/Activities page and the  Pictures link can also describe for you some of the various ways we serve.  Thank you.
