Matthew 22:37-40 teaches us to "Love the Lord with all of our heart, with all of our soul and all of our mind" and we are also to "love our neighbor as ourselves ..."
The mission and purpose of Compassion for Others are to follow the Lord's commands through our lives for Him and our service to others, especially for those who are in need. Our hopes are to make a difference for others. We will give Christ all of the honor and the glory. We thank Him for each opportunity to serve.
Compassion for Others is a human services, 501(c)3 nonprofit which began in 2010. We are also faith-based. Each one serving with CFO Ministries does so on a voluntary basis. With servant hearts our objectives are always to show love, care and compassion for others through our acts of kindness to them, especially to those in need. We have had the privilege to serve in various ways. CFO Ministries has served in our group homes for children and to our seniors in residential care settings. We have served in homeless communities We have provided life essential needs in neighborhoods and to families experiencing financial hardships. We were honored to work in coordination with the County Government in Lumberton, NC helping families flooded from homes by Hurricane Matthew. Each time CFO Ministries has the privilege to serve our objective is to allow our love for the Lord to show through servant hearts as we seek to make a difference.
In the summer of 2019, CFO Ministries had the privilege to join with a local community church, and as a member of their mission team served the needs of families in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
In March, 2022, when the war and invasion of Ukraine began, CFO Ministries started a new ministry arm of CFO Ministries to help the Ukrainian refugees. Our mission arm named Compassion4Ukraine serves overseas to provide life essential needs through boots-on-the-ground ministries. These ministries we have vetted and partner with are located in Ukraine, Poland and Romania. Through this ministry arm we are helping the refugees, orphans and families displaced from their homes. Our ministry partners know best how to help those hurting and provide them with the life essentials of food, clothing, housing. We encourage you to research CFO Ministries. Please pray for Ukraine and an end to this war. If you are able to join with us with your financial support, 100% of each dedicated gift CFO Ministries receives will be used to help provide for the needs of the Ukrainian people.
