Matthew 22:37-40 teaches us that we are to "Love the Lord with all of our heart, with all of our soul and all of our mind" and we are also to "love our neighbor as ourselves ..."
The mission and purpose of Compassion for Others is to follow our Lord's command in living for Him and through serving others, especially those who are in need. CFO Ministries seeks to be the hands and feet of Christ as we reach out to serve needs and to provide encouragement. We strive to always display servant hearts and our hope is to make a difference.
As we serve our fellow man with compassionate hearts our efforts will show His love. We will give Christ all of the honor, thanking Him for opportunities given to us .
Compassion for Others is a human services, 501c3 nonprofit and we are also faith-based. Our nonprofit began in 2010 and each one who serves with CFO Ministries does so voluntarily. With servant hearts, CFO Ministries displays love and compassion to others through various acts of kindness, especially to those in need or experiencing some disadvantage in life. We have had the privilege and honor to serve in various ways. CFO Ministries has served in group homes for children and to seniors living in a residential care setting. We have served within homeless communities and have provided life essential needs for families struggling in areas financially stricken. CFO Ministries was honored to work with the County government in Lumberton, NC and helping families who were forced from homes by Hurricane Florence. Each time CFO Ministries serves our objective is to allow our love for the Lord to show through servant hearts as we seek to make a difference for others.
During the summer in 2019, CFO Ministries had the privilege to join with a local church on their mission team to serve needs in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
In March, 2022, when the war started in Ukraine, CFO Ministries began a ministry arm to help and serve the Ukrainian refugees suffering from the war. This mission arm named "Compassion4Ukraine" serves through boots-on-the-ground organizations that CFO Ministries has vetted. There are three organizations CFO Ministries is working with who are helping refugees and those displaced from their homes. These are located in Ukraine, Poland and Romania and know best how to provide for the needs of those hurting. These are providing food, clothing, housing and the life essentials. Please join with us by praying for an end to the war. You may also join with CFO Ministries with financial support. Please also visit our website link: www.cfomin.org/compassion4ukraine
Our ability to help with various projects is dependent upon financial resources that are made available. God has blessed CFO Ministries and we know He will continue to bless work being accomplished for Him. Thank you for your prayers for CFO Ministries. We also hope you will fully research the work of this ministry. If you would like to volunteer and/or provide support in the work of CFO Ministries, we will be grateful and we know you will receive a blessing.
