About Us

Our Mission and Purpose

Matthew 22:37-40 teaches:

"Love the Lord with all of our heart, with all of our soul and all of our mind" and we are also to "love our neighbor as ourselves ..."

The mission and purpose of Compassion for Others is to follow our Lord's commands through the life we live for Him and the service we give to others, especially those with needs.  The hope of CFO Ministries is that we make a difference in the lives of those we serve.  We will always give Christ the honor and glory for every opportunity we are given to serve Him through ministry.

About CFO Ministries

Compassion for Others is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that began in 2010.  We are a human services organization and we are also faith-based.  Everyone serving with CFO Ministries, does so on a volunteer basis.  With servant hearts our objectives are to demonstrate love, care and compassion to others through our acts of kindness.  We have enjoyed this privilege to serve in many ways.  CFO Ministries has served children in group home settings and our seniors who live in residential care settings.  We have served within the homeless community; provided essential needs to low-income neighborhoods and for families who have experienced financial hardships.  In 2019, we were honored to work in coordination with county government in Lumberton, NC and provided needs to families impacted by Hurricane Matthew.  When we are privileged to serve our objective is to provide help and allow our love for the Lord to shine through a servant heart.

In the summer of 2019, our ministry had the privilege to serve as part of a mission team of a local church from Charlotte, NC to Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

In March, 2022 after the invasion of Ukraine and the war began, CFO Ministries started an international arm of this ministry to help the Ukrainian refugees who were displaced from homes. This arm of CFO Ministries is called: Compassion4Ukraine and today provides help for orphans and widows of fallen soldiers. This help is given to them through our vetted, boots-on-the-ground ministry partner in the western mountains of Ukraine.  Please join with us in praying for Ukraine and an end to this war.  We also request your financial support, if possible, to reach out and help us help these hurting.  Your donation gift (100%) when "specified Ukraine" will be directed to help them.  You will find additional information about Ukraine and our efforts by viewing this webpage link shown. www.cfomin.org/compassion4ukraine

Thank you for your prayers and support of the various ways this ministry serves.  God has blessed this work and we know He will continue to bless work that is accomplished for Him. Should you have questions regarding this ministry then please feel free to contact us.  We hope you will share the work of CFO Ministries with others.  Our FAQ/Activities page and the link to view Pictures will provide additional information for you on the number of ways we serve.  Thank you, again.
