What is Compassion for Others?
Compassion for Others (CFO Ministries) is a faith-based, human services nonprofit. The mission of CFO is to enrich the quality of life without discrimination for those who are disadvantaged and in need. The purpose of our ministry is based upon Matthew 22:37-40. We believe that when we live in accordance to this purpose for our lives and allow the Holy Spirit to guide our daily walk, then our lives exhibit the love that Christ has for each of us.
Is CFO Ministries a Church?
We are not a church. We are a faith-based, human services nonprofit comprised of many volunteers and supporters. The Board members, our Director and the many CFO volunteers attend various Christian churches. We each share the belief in our mission work and purpose; and a belief that each of us are called to serve by being a neighbor to our fellow man. Everyone associated with and serving in the CFO ministry does so on a volunteer basis and from a labor of love. No one receives compensation. All donations received by CFO are used toward projects this ministry is committed to serve. CFO Ministries is registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and donations to it are tax-deductible as permitted by law.
How may I help in the work of CFO Ministries?
You may participate with CFO Ministries through your prayers, be a volunteer and by giving financial support to projects. Foremost, we desire your prayers for the work of this ministry. Please pray specifically that God will lead us as we serve others, and that when serving others our work will always be used for His glory and honor. You may also give financially to support projects we are committed to serve. CFO Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit for tax-exempt purposes. How does CFO Ministries serve others?
We are a ministry of compassion. CFO provides such items as food, clothing and the essential items we all need to sustain our daily life. Some of individuals we interact with are experiencing homelessness, financial hardship or a life discouragement. Our objective is to uplift, encourage and offer hope to others through our interactions allowing them to witness the love of Christ who lives in our hearts.
May I designate a monetary donation for a ministry project?
Yes, if desired. Please designate the project where your donation should be directed.
